Nightmare arrival in Sultanahmet very late rainy night from International Airport, the first week of Ramadan. Road blocks everywhere so visitors to Hagia Sophia Mosque could wander the streets safely after dark ie there were no cars in area of our hotel located on a small street adjoining the Mosque. (During Ramadan Muslims fast from daylight until sunset then families and friends get together to eat and break the fast in a meal called Iftar.) The taxi couldn’t use any roads near our hotel and suggested that we, an older couple, should walk up the hill dragging our 4 heavy pieces of luggage over the cobblestones. Out of the dark 4 handsome young Turkish men offered to drag our 4 suitcases up the hill to the hotel with us trailing behind. We were in love with Istanbul again! Ottoman Hotel staff were p concerned about our late arrival and made us so welcome. We learned that all hotels in the area collect their guests and luggage in buggies from any point they had been stopped at a barrier. We settled in quickly and enjoyed the ambience of a lovely old Ottoman Hotel. Breakfasts were wonderful,. served from the hotel’s Michelin starred restaurant/kitchen

Ottoman Imperial Hotel’s position, right besides Aya Sophia and within short walking distance from most must-see places in the Sultanahmet area is exceptionally convenient for anyone visiting Istanbul. The place is comfortable, clean and well cared for by the staff’s members. Breakfast, served at the care of the in-premises Mathba restaurant, Michelin Awarded, is varied and abundant, with some Turkish specialties along with the usual, and of the highest quality, international stuff. Each morning we’ve been asked if wanted some variation of the Omelette’s menu and with the attentive care of Sergi and Nisa, our plates were always full!🤗 Also Ōzgūr, Birol and their other colleagues have been of great help when asked for information about places or routes to go, and even helped us dealing with our transfer or tour guides, to make it easier for us to get best service! Well done, everyone and thanks! If we ever return to Istanbul, which we definitely hope, we’ll stay with you again! Grazie!🤗

While the hotel’s facilities and ambiance are what you’d expect from this property, it’s these personal touches from the staff that make Ottoman Imperial Hotel stand out. It’s a place where the warmth and care of the people elevate your experience and ensure that your time there is nothing short of exceptional. A special shout-out goes to Erhan, the exceptional receptionist, who not only makes check-in a breeze but does so with such care and attention to detail that it immediately makes you feel like a valued guest. His professionalism and friendly demeanor are truly top-notch. I highly recommend Ottoman Imperial Hotel to anyone looking for more than just a place to stay—it’s a place where you feel truly cared for.

The location is perfect, right next to the Ayasophia, and the hotel is Turkish and not some generic Westerm hotel you can find anywhere in the world. The wake up call was hard and loud - muezzins singing lustily at 6:21 in the morning. The restaurant (which we didn't try) has Michelin Recommended status so they are trying hard to be the best. Staff are lovely to a tee and cannot do enough to help. Breakfast was great and the rooms are very comfortable. In all the hotel is good but the most important part is that it is genuine, not trying to be some 5 star wannabe like many others.

Amazing customer service, second to none. So friendly, helpful, and accommodating to our needs. And the location can't be beat regarding distance to the major historic sites in old town. We had a view of the Hagia Sophia right next door. Also close to public transportation for touring further field. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Some of the furnishings are looking a bit worn, but you hardly notice because everything else is so great. Breakfast was in a beautiful dining room, with lots of choices. A great choice for a mid-priced hotel. I highly recommend..
